Why The "Gulls"?

Since our hamsters are females and our other pets are three male cats, our cats are The Boys and the Hamster are The Girls. And we usually call to them like forties movie stars: "Oh gulls...!" (Yes, we are freaks. But our animals love us.)

Yes, now that you've asked - Polly Jean and Lucinda are named after awesome female musicians - P.J. Harvey and Lucinda Williams. Why? Because The Gulls rock!
