My First Mice
These are the first mice I ever had, two white feeder mice I bought in the summer of 2000. They were bought spontaneously when me and a friend discovered that mice cost only ninety-eight cents. So we bought them and named them Tom (After Tom Delonge from Blink-182), and Little Zak (after my brother). We then discovered they were girls and they never really had any permanent names. Though after the first one died of unknown cause six months later, the other was named Antarctica since at the time I had an obsession with the continent. Mostly though, she was referred to as "Little Tiny One". Then on July 21 2001, I went to give her water and discovered she was sick. I stayed up with her and made her comfortable until she finally died on my bedroom floor right in front of my eyes at about 3:00 AM. Teddy
I bought Teddy in April of 2002. I had seen the black hamsters in a pet shop and fell in love with them. I had never seen a black hamster before. There was one in particular that I wanted, but when I went back to get him, he wasn't there anymore. I called every petshop in town, and only one had black hamsters, and there was only one left. That was Teddy. Teddy was an awesome hamster. He was so extremely tame. He would walk right from the cage door into my hands. Was always calm when I held him, didn't always try running away. Sometimes he even licked me. It came as a shock when I found him dead one day upon returning home from a friend's house. I had him for one year and one month. He'll always be remembered.
