Hamster: Blackberry
Blackberry is the first Black Syrian I've ever had. She has soft velvet fur and a wonderfully quiet personality. Compared to all the other hamsters in the house she is a sweetheart. Her only litter she had was 5 sweet black babies. She was already one eyar old and it was a miracle she got pregnant. She was the best mom ever. From day one I handled her kits and she seemed to have no problem with this. All the other hamsters would growl and chase you off of the nest, but she didn't mind. She knew they would come back all right... They grew up to be just as sweet as their Momma. So soft and cuddly. Blackberry is in retirement being 3 years old now, and she is starting to go grey. But she still has her charm... :-)
